The Bible has a purpose. Each man who wrote down Gods inspired words did it to have a permanent record of the teachings of God. We can learn about him, but also that we have hope. We can learn how we ought to behave, and to treat others.
Each human who wrote wasn’t out for his own gain. Often those prophets were hated and persecuted. Still, the word that has been written is meant not only for a select few individuals, but for whole nations of people to understand, and live by God’s ways.
Keep these verses in mind. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give you insight to what they say about the Bible and its authority. Come back and read them again. Look over the verses from the past couple days. Don’t read what I have written, but let God’s own words speak in spite of any thing that I might have to say. That’s why I included the actual verses, and not just gave the references to make you take my word for it, and maybe look them up later.
Romans 15:4
4For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Romans 16:25-26
25Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long

2 Timothy 3:15-17

Hebrews 1:1-2
