The meaning of Salvation

to be “saved” is to be:

  • Justified, acquitted legally (Rom. 3:21-25);
  • Reconciled, eliminating enmity with God (2 Cor. 5:18);
  • Adopted, brought into the family of God (Gal. 4:4-5).
  • Pardoned, forgiven a great debt (Matt. 18:27),
  • Redeemed from slavery (Gal. 5:1),
  • Rescued from eternal danger (1 thess. 1:10).
  • Cleansed from filth (eph. 5:26-27),
  • Healed from disease (1 Pet. 2:24),
  • Recreated as a new creature (Gal. 6:15),
  • Resurrected to new life (eph. 2:6).
